Universal Gloss Inks (UGI)

UGI is a two-pack screen ink with outstanding resistance to many chemicals and solvents and excellent adhesion to a wide range of difficult to adhere to substrates, such as metal (including aluminum, copper, brass, tin coated metal and iron), glass, ceramic, plastic, mirror, Bakelite, Formica, Acrylic, Polyethylene (PE), pretreated Polypropylene (PP), Nylon and some Polyester. UGI gives good adhesion to substrates coated with resin, silicone and wax. To improve adhesion, the substrate should be cleaned with Thinner 2900 before printing. UGI is not suitable for printing outdoor displays which require long term weather stability.

Untreated PP Gloss Ink (PPG)

PPG is a solvent-based screen printing ink suitable for printing onto containers made from untreated or pretreated polypropylene. This ink system has a high gloss finish and excellent adhesion, giving it good rub-resistance. PPG can be printed through any type of mesh, but for the best printing results it is recommended that monofilament P90-48 to P120-34 be used.
  • PPG can be printed through a variety of solvent resistant stencils, such as Diazol (PU220), and Diazol Fast (S42).
  • 1Kg of ink will print an area of 65-75 m 2 through a P120-34 mesh.

Polypac Inks (PP)

PP is a gloss finish solvent-based, single-pack ink specially designed for printing pretreated polyethylene and polypropylene. When thinned, PP can be used with high-speed automatic or semi-automatic printing machines. PP is very fast drying and has excellent adhesion resulting in durable ink films with good resistance against a wide range of products including bleaches, motor oils and most detergents. However, PP is not resistant to cosmetics or products containing alcohol, such as certain lotions or perfumes. PP is also suitable for printing various types of aluminum. Please see “ the detail information in Metal printing.”

JPP High Gloss Series ink for PP, PE materials

Can be printed through a variety of solvent resistant stencils, such as Diazol (S42), Polyzol direct DE422 and Diazol Universal PU20. A snap distance of about 2-3 mm is required for a good release of the print from the screen. Apply Spray Way SW82 all over the print table to firmly hold the substrate in place during printing. Due to the wide range of coatings available, it is advisable that the ink be tested fully prior to printing.
